Our History and Mission Statement
History
Bristol Hills Pony Club was formed in 1995 by Nancy and Don Coleman with six original members. Nancy and Don had very positive experiences with Pony Club, as their four children had participated, and they wanted to give something back to the community.
Today, Bristol Hills Pony Club has expanded to 20 members. The club holds its mounted meetings at various locations in the Bristol Hills. Our club also hosts a Hunter Pace and this year the D2/D3 Rally for the region of Western New York State Pony Club.
Over the past several years Bristol Hills Pony Club has had several riders qualify for nationals as well as participate in the Stuart Horse Trials, Wheeler Green Sping Event and other local equine events.
We are proud of the success of our members and look forward to the successes of our new members!
BHPC recently recieved the Pony Club 25 year award. How is this possible? When the club was formed, a new charter was not issued. The former Parma Pony Club became Bristol Hills.
Mission
The mission of the Bristol Hills Pony Club is to provide an all inclusive opportunity to the youth in this area to obtain the "Pony Club" experience. Pony Club is a program which teaches riding, mounted sports and the care of horses and ponies, thereby developing responsibility, sportsmanship, moral judgement, leadership and self-confidence.
